Our Year-Round Activities
The Nigerian-Igbo Catholic Community of Atlanta maintains a vibrant calendar of religious and social events designed to foster communal fellowship and preserve cultural traditions. These activities bring the community together throughout the year for worship, spiritual growth, and family-oriented celebrations.
Monthly Igbo Mass: Celebrated every second and fourth Sunday of the month.
New Year Mass: Held annually on January 1st.
Blessed Cyprian Michael Iwene Tansi Celebration: A special commemorative mass held every February.
- Mother’s Day 9-Day Novena of Our Mother of Perpetual Help: Observed 9 days before Mother’s Day.
Mother’s Day Celebration: Observed on Mother’s Day Sunday in May.
Mother’s Day Picnic: A community gathering hosted by the Catholic Men’s Organization on the second Saturday of May.
Father’s Day Celebration: Observed on Father’s Day Sunday in June.
Children’s Retreat: A two-day spiritual event held on the second Saturday and Sunday of July.

Adult Retreat: A dedicated time for spiritual reflection held on the second Saturday and Sunday of September.
- CWO Retreat: observed in October or November.
Annual Harvest and Thanksgiving: The community’s traditional harvest celebration is held on the second Sunday of October.
